Font Sizes in Footnotes

The Default for Font size in a Google Docs footnote is two points smaller than the Normal size of the text in your document. When inserting a footnote using the normal methods (Insert \ Footnote or Ctrl-Alt-F) the Default will always be as described; however, if you cut and paste or copy and paste into a footnote the Font style will be the same as your SOURCE text.  Solution : When pasting copied text into the footnote area of a Google Doc, right-click in the empty footnote and select "Paste without formatting." Your text will be inserted in the Default format for Footnotes; again, that is two points smaller than Normal text in your document. If your font style or size still looks wonky, select all the text in your footnote, click on the Line Spacing drop-down in your Docs toolbar, and change line spacing to 1.
